Mangoes, recognized as the king of tropical fruit, are plentiful in Okinawa Prefecture and mangoes from Miyakojima Island account for a large proportion of these. The subtropical sun and mineral-rich groundwater make it the perfect place to grow mangoes with a rich sweetness and well-balanced nutritional content. There are also some mangoes that cannot be delivered to stores or customers since their size or shape do not meet set standards or because bad weather hinders delivery, however.
