For over four centuries, the acetic acid bacteria cultivated by Onomichi Zosu has been living and fermenting vinegar since 1582. This vinegar drink set is made from the company’s fruit vinegar of locally produced fruits: Fig Vinegar Drink based on fig vinegar fermenting Onomichi-produced figs; Persimmon Vinegar Drink based on persimmon vinegar fermenting Onomichi-produced Saijo persimmons; and Grape Vinegar Drink based on grape vinegar fermenting Hiroshima-produced grapes. Beyond each fruit’s gentle sweetness is a hint of tartness and rich aroma. The standard way to enjoy these vinegar drinks is by mixing them with 3 to 5 times water, soda, milk or soy milk. They are also delicious when mixed with yogurt or drizzled on ice cream, or as base for jelly or kanten (agar) desserts. Experiment and find your favorite way to savor their flavors. Since 1954, Onomichi Zosu has been engaged in the development of Western vinegar and has a long history of supplying mayonnaise manufacturers with apple cider vinegar and malt vinegar, and continues to maintain its original fermentation process to this day.
