YOT WATCH is a colorful wrist watch born from toys that children no longer play with. YOT WATCH (SANYEI CORPORATION) collected these toys as materials to make a wrist watch. The company wished to take advantage of the toys that used to amuse children and turn them into the first watches for children. With that in mind, the company has created new value by reusing plastic that normally would be discarded. The word “YOT” in the product name is “TOY” spelled backwards. YOT WATCH is the company’s hope that its products can teach people and children about recycling and the environment, and to provide them with opportunities to think about it.
The case that houses the movement is made of recycled resin from the toys, and the belt is made of recycled polyester including Velcro that makes it easy for children to put on and take off. The belt can be customized in your favorite color. A booklet is also included to help children to learn how to read a clock and about recycling. Adult models (32 mm and 40 mm diameter) have also been developed so that not only parents and children and grandparents but also friends and lovers can spend time together with their loved ones. The simple design is suitable for everyday use and is available in a wide range of colors. With a water-resistant level of 3 ATM (atmosphere of pressure), the products can be used in everyday life without any problems.
