NATURANOLA

KOI KINGS CO., LTD. (Gifu)

NATURANOLA is a fermented granola made with “koji” rice malt amazake, or“sweet alcohol” which is a traditional fermented rice beverage that has been popular in Japan since ancient times. The product was developed in hope of promoting “koji-kin,” which is recognized as Japan’s “national fungus/mold” worldwide, while also targeting those who value food quality over calories.
JAS-certified organic oatmeal is used for the main ingredient. The granola does not contain refined white sugar or gluten. While granola generally lacks protein, NATURANOLA contains more than 15 g of protein per 100 g (19 g for Bitter Chocolate Banana). Furthermore, the company has also focused on the quality of the protein and uses grass-fed whey, additive-free protein powder and non-GMO soy protein.
KOI KINGS, which produces NATURANOLA, strives to generate opportunities for more people to discover the charms of local regions around Japan so as to revitalize each region by actively introducing local specialties. For example, “Bitter Chocolate Matcha” uses organic matcha grown in Toyota, Aichi Prefecture; “Kuromitsu Kinako” is made with pesticide-free black soybeans from Tambasasayama City in Hyogo Prefecture; and “Salted Caramel” is seasoned with natural salt from Okunoto, Ishikawa Prefecture.
