Kyo Komaru (broad beans, peas, peanuts, black beans)
SEKISEIKAHONPO INC. (Kyoto)
Senbei (rice crackers) made of eggs and four different kinds of beans are produced by a long-established senbei confectionery store in Kyoto. Toubeian was founded in 1922 at Senbon Kuramaguchi in Kyoto and moved to its current location in 1946 in Taishogun, Kita-ku, Kyoto. Passing down the tradition and unique taste of over a century, the company has never forgotten the challenging spirit of producing new products that people love and make them smile.
Kyo Komaru senbei is made of dough with a rich peanut paste kneaded into it and has a sweet taste. Baked using an artisan traditional method, anyone from children to elderly persons can eat easily in a single bite. It’s an irresistible taste for peanut lovers. Flavorful and fragrant black soybeans, lightly salted broad beans and peas are also a great match with the slightly sweet and rich dough. Because it has a light and crispy texture, it is truly hard to resist.
