This daifuku mochi sweet is made with large-sized strawberries from Sansanen. It is named Lounging Strawberry Daifuku (Koshikake Ichigo Daifuku) because of its unique appearance of a massive strawberry sitting on mochi cake. The strawberry is usually wrapped inside the mochi, but this product shows the fruit jutting out so that you can enjoy the lush, rich sweetness from the very first bite. From the first mouthful, you will be amazed at the fresh juiciness of the strawberry, which has been awarded the highest 3-star rating in the International Taste Institute’s prestigious show judged by Michelin Star chefs and prominent sommeliers. The product is created by strawberry farmers with 50 years of history in Yamamoto-cho, Watari-gun, Miyagi Prefecture, the top strawberry producing area in the Tohoku region.
