Flavor Terrine is a multifaceted sweet that changes its fragrance, taste and texture depending on the temperature, allowing you to enjoy various features of the ingredients. Using high quality Uji matcha tea, the Matcha terrine transforms the traditional Japanese tea’s fragrance, flavor and sweetness along with the change of temperature. The fine matcha tea is sourced from Yamamasa Koyamaen, a tea manufacturer and wholesaler established in the Edo period (1603-1867), and offers a rich fragrance and pleasant flavor with no bitterness. Analyzing the optimal blend of koicha (thick matcha tea), it is combined with wasanbon sugar, made from native variety bamboo sugar cane, that has been handmade by methods unchanged from 200 years ago. Traditional tea ceremonies present matcha and wasanbon as an excellent match, as Japanese sweets paired with matcha tea are said to heighten the sweetness of fine matcha. In addition, the white chocolate was carefully chosen as not to interfere with the matcha’s flavor; the white chocolate made from Swiss naturally pastured milk and organic cacao butter adds a rich flavor and does not have a dairy smell. Flavor Terrine uses only natural ingredients, with no added scents or coloring and is gluten-free.
