The Shiza Medium Wallet is inspired by scissor doors on sports cars that opens like the movement of scissors along a fixed hinge, incorporating this movement in the moveable card slit (registered design no. 1676528). In addition to the innovative design, the wallet also boasts ample room for necessities, including the rotating movement card slit and the multipurpose utility space pocket on both sides of the exterior, inspired by automobile air intake vents. While conventional wallets focused mainly on space and usability, the artisan’s experience as a former fashion designer enables attention to both storage capacity and style, incorporating a sense of playfulness and attractive form in the standing position. Each item of Shiza is handmade by a single Japanese designer/artisan, from designing to patterning, cutting, sewing and finishing.
