The premium stainless steel bottle series is imbued with the techniques and craftsmanship of Yamanaka lacquerware, a traditional craft of Ishikawa Prefecture. Coming in a wide range of sizes from 140 ml to 480 ml, all types have vacuum-sealed double-wall structure to keep the drink hot or cool. The products offered at enne are all crafted with the utmost care by the hands of various artisans skilled in the traditional Yamanaka lacquerware. Each process is completed by hand including creating gradations, gold leaf application and coating, as well as full-color printing directly onto kindai shikki (modern lacquerware) and bottles with various graphic arts such as ukiyo-e that represents traditional Japan, resulting in a beautiful glossy finish and sense of depth that are unparalleled. The traditional techniques passed on since the Azuchi-Momoyama period (14th century) are all specialties of Yamanaka. Each process is a handiwork that takes much time and diligence, such as the lacquering and gold leaf application to achieve the unique glossy finish; improved durability through urethane coating of kindai shikki; the gloss and depth realized by modern maki-e painting techniques; and careful drying in between each process.
