Slide down the zipper, and out come the keys — and a smile!
The Sliding Keys Cloche brings out a “smiling” ring and keys with just a tug of the zipper. Unlike a normal trifold key case, you can take out your keys with one swift action. A product of our omotenashi spirit, this key case is something you will want to show off and bring smiles to everyone’s faces.
While zippers in principle are used to open and close something, we focused on the sliding movement in this process. If we utilize this sliding movement, can we make a key case that can instantly pop out keys like magic? Building upon this idea, we developed the Sliding Keys Cloche.
The smiling ring that comes out together with the keys is not just an adorable decorative item. It is designed to gather the keys at the center of the mouth so that the keys do not shift around, realizing smooth entry and exit. The keys can be brought out smoothly in any position, whether it is horizontal or even facing up. It holds around four keys, and the flat ring on the backside can be used to attach a large key, such as a remote control car key.
After many redesigns and trials, each measurement of the parts and thickness of the leather has been meticulously set at 0.1mm increments. The product is handmade in Japan through careful craftsmanship. The easy-to-hold, simple form and innovative usability of the Sliding Key Cloche are recommended for both women and men.
