The additive-free green juice shutto is made using only natural ingredients. This includes blueberry leaves, kamairicha (pan-fried green tea leaves), both of which are specialties of Miyazaki prefecture. We designed the package based on the concept of a green juice that fits in with your home’s interior design, which resulted in a product that strikes a balance between practicality and glamour. The Miyazaki prefectural government and the University of Miyazaki have played a central role in the research on the functionality of blueberry leaves for a long time. According to the research, blueberry leaves are proven to contain a great amount of polyphenol while also offering several benefits including great antioxidant abilities that provide protective effects against fatty liver as well as abilities to inhibit growth of cancer cells and help lower blood pressure. Meanwhile, kamairicha is attracting attention for its health benefits as it is said to contain larger amount of catechin than normal green tea leaves. Focusing on the potentials of these two ingredients, our green juice was developed through an industry-university-government cooperation headed by Miyazaki prefecture, the University of Miyazaki and Sunao Pharma Inc. After repeated improvements on varieties and cultivation methods by University of Miyazaki, the blueberry shrubs are cultivated in a way that gives them more leaves without using any agrichemicals. The JAS-certified organic kamairicha used in the product is also grown by a tea farmer in the town of Gokase in the prefecture without using any agrichemicals.
