When my grandfather’s feet were very swollen due to an illness, there were no socks that he could wear. Together with my father, Kazuo Suzuki, we developed these socks through much trial and error. The socks are specially designed so there is no constriction around the ankles while still staying securely in place. In addition, the product is made from a uniquely developed fabric using rice bran, a byproduct from rice milling that is usually discarded but has also been used for skincare since ancient times. The fabric is made by extracting skin beautifying components from rice bran and blending them into the threads, creating a smooth texture and supporting the skin’s barrier function with moisture. The material is environmentally friendly.
