ICHI
OHIZUMI BUSSAN CO.,LTD (Niigata)
ICHI was created by the notable Danish designer, Ole Palsby (1935-2010), who drew inspiration from Japanese culture. The design of ICHI was completed after a long period of co-development between Palsby and the Japanese manufacturer Ohizumi Bussan just before Ole passed away in 2010. This also became Palsby’s last piece of work in his illustrious career. ICHI, which means “one” as well as “beginning” in Japanese, represents the beginning of a new cutlery brand as well as the beginning of the timeless design by Ole Palsby.
