The name KIWAMIFUDE is a combination of two Japanese words: kiwami, meaning ultimate, to represent the mastery of traditional Japanese techniques instilled in the product, and kiwa, the lash line area the product is applied to. This eyeliner is produced using the same techniques as those of the Nara-fude brush, an important traditional craft of Nara Prefecture, making each brush hair extremely fine. The resulting brush is gentle to the touch, and because of the high volume of hair used, it absorbs liquid well and achieves the right amount of firmness for a smooth application. Each item is carefully manufactured by hand.
