CREDEA COTTON TOWEL is the fruit of a years’ long effort of a towel company in Osaka to create a towel that is both eco-friendly and luxurious. When weaving a towel, low-twist yarns impart softness to the towel; however, the shape is lost if the twist is too loose. This towel was developed by studying the ultimate twist in a yarn to achieve an exceptional softness and luxurious feel. Generally, cotton is spun with water-soluble vinylon to give it strength, which is washed and rinsed away using chemicals thereafter. In this way, the soft texture and volume of the towel is achieved. However, this process is omitted from the manufacturing of CREDEA COTTON TOWEL as it’s not good for the environment. Instead, starch-derived glue is used to give strength to the yarns, which can be washed away with enzymes. Owing to these two factors, the ideal towel was finally brought to life.
