Samurai armor is a Japanese traditional craft made by combining Japan’s finest technologies for gold leaf work, woodworking, Kyo Orimono (Kyoto weaving), kumihimo (silk thread braiding) and leather production. This small-sized, authentic BOTTLE ARMOR was designed to convey Japan’s exceptional craftsmanship to people around the world by fusing armor with sake bottles. The inpiration behind the development of this item comes from the childhood memories of the company’s two founding members, who were given a warrior doll dressed in armor by their parents on Tango no Sekku, which is celebrated on May 5th. Impressed to see that the armor still remained beautifully intact without losing its colors even after 40 years, they thought to share this amazing experience with many people by creating a miniature version of armor and combining it with a bottle instead of a doll.
