With its bright colors and a calming design, the tea pot Mariasobi makes a sophisticated impression that catches the eyes of people from all over the world. It was crafted by a leading Nambu ironware manufacturer with 110 years of history. They have already been selling their products overseas for some time, and the name “IWACHU” has become a synonym for Nambu ironware in Europe. The Mariasobi tea pot was created in response to a request from a French customer who wanted a color that would fit in with a Parisian lifestyle. Using Chiyogami paper as a motif, many attempts were made to create designs that were not too simple, nor too decorative. Also, after trying out dozens of colors, it is now available in five carefully selected colors, adding some glamor to the rustic image of Nambu ironworks. The inner parts are enamel coated to provide excellent functionality. It is a traditional Japanese craft that beautifully adds color to people’s lives around the world.
