OYADO TAMAKI

OYADO TAMAKI (Gunma)

Dedication to Japanese tradition means that this inn celebrates not just the four standard seasons, but also the traditional 24 seasons of ancient Japan, by changing flowers and doll displays to match each mini-season. The proprietress is very particular about the displays and retreives the floral decorations from the inn’s garden herself.
Ikaho Onsen is famous for two types of hot spring water: the golden and the silver types — the inn provides both. There are two large shared bath areas, and they each have a silver and a gold hot spring bath, and there is also an open-air bath. You’ll find satisfaction at this historic hot spring area.
There is a main building, north building, and the most recent addition, a tall annex building called the Itsukitei Annex, where you can find some of Oyado Tamaki’s most distinctive rooms. Experience the beauty of each season fom an open-air bath connected to your room, or lounge on the deck looking out at the world.
Oyado Tamaki wishes to preserve the beauty of a tradiional Japanese inn, while still adjusting to the needs of international guests and the eldery. This is why there are two western room options available, if desired. It’s important to Oyado Tamaki to accomodate to the needs of its guests, which is one reason the annex was built.
