As you can tell from the name, Rail Bar was created as refreshments that can be purchased aboard the JR Chuo Main Line – which connects Tokyo, Yamanashi Prefecture and Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture – as well as at JR East affiliated stores. The set includes a mini wineglass and a snack to pair with the wine such as dried fruits and stewed chicken giblets, so you can enjoy the wine on the spot. The wines are carefully selected from the approximately 80 wineries in Yamanashi, and individually packed in 140ml pouches. The wine labels, which are an important part of enjoying wine, are miniatures of the original bottle design so as to appeal to wine connoisseurs as well.
