The geometric patterns on the walls and ceiling are made with a technique called “Edo Suminagashi” (Japanese paper marbling)” in which the pattern is made by soaking the wallpaper and ceiling boards in sumi ink. It creates a unique atmosphere, different from the familiar traditional ryokan.
The ryokan offers different types of pillows and down comforters, so guests can pick their favorite ones. A great night’s sleep is guaranteed.
A multi-course dinner is served, featuring local ingredients from Mount Tanigawa and the nearby river. The meal boasts all natural flavors, with no additives.
Based on the idea that experiencing ryokan at a young age is important, so that Japanese ryokan culture will be passed on to future generations, children are also welcome to stay.
