The five residential buildings located in this castle town have been created by renovating traditional Japanese homes while maintaining their original charm. Each of the houses that were built from the end of Edo period to the beginning of Showa period has been carefully restored so that the visitors can experience lifestyles and customs unique to the respective eras.
The hotel is situated in a castle town with a long history, which was established in the Shinoyama Domain of Tanba back in the Edo period. By restoring the lifestyles and townscape of the times when these traditional old houses flourished the most, the hotel aims to provide visitors with a profound experience that makes them feel as if they had stepped back in time and were actually living there.
Although the renovation of the traditional houses themselves has been kept to a minimum, state-of-the-art, clean restrooms and bathrooms have been installed to ensure a stress-free stay.
