Kimura Uhei has more than 280 years of tradition as an obi maker in the Nishijin textile district of Kyoto. The traditional Nishijin Ori technique is used to create two different purses that are in line with modern lifestyles. The tote bag has room for a small compact or makeup pouch, while the classic handbag has a rounded silhouette that is both feminine and elegant. Both bags are adorned with pawprints on a traditional jujigasuri pattern.
