A clothes brush, which removes dust and dirt from the fabric while smoothing the nap of fibers, is essential to keep your favorite clothes clean and well-maintained for a long time. However, the use of such brushes has not taken root much outside of Japan. Clothes Brush Zelkova series was developed by 100 year-old Uno Hake Brush Seisakusho Co., Ltd., with the idea of introducing clothes brush culture to people overseas. The brush is made with soft horse hair so that it can be used on all types of fibers, including cashmere. As the hair type differs depending on the part of the horse where it grew, the hair type has been carefully selected. To produce quality brushes, the cutting method is imrtant, and there is a specific combination of hair types to create the correct density for each brush. In addition, while wood from katsura, magnolia obovate or Japanese beech trees are normally used for the handle, the brush series employs zelkova wood to produce an exclusive feel.
